Ideal Complete is Here!

Research on maintenance and stabilization has shown that the consumption of a meal replacement daily is an essential component for success. Individuals typically underestimate their calorie intake when consuming a diet of conventional foods because of the difficulty in estimating portion size.

Ideal Protein has addressed this issue with the launch of Ideal Complete. Ideal Complete is a Meal Replacement Drink containing 25 essential vitamins and minerals, along with 26 grams of protein. It is offered in three delicious flavors: Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry.

Not only will Ideal Complete be an essential part of the success for Phase 4 Dieters, but also during Phase 3, for the 2 week period where the Dieter must reintroduce carbohydrates into their diet in the morning only. It’s convenient, delicious and removes the burden of having to judge portion and content.  Now available at 7Company.

And delicious!

Transformation and Weight Loss

My mission is to help reduce diabetes and obesity in our community through education and lifestyle change.  For many people this means losing weight and beginning to exercise.  But I don’t believe it is just about calories in and calories out.  It was important to me to find a weight loss method that would teach people what to eat and how to eat so that after the weight is lost, clients would have the ability to maintain the transformation and weight loss.

Here at 7Company we use the proven Ideal Protein method to get the weight off while providing education to make better, healthier lifestyle changes.  We have great coaches to provide one on one coaching.  We have RNs and LPNs, fitness trainers and nutritionists.  As the weight is being lost, we encourage our clients to move and we offer yoga and pilates classes and personal training.  We work on the inner person by providing support groups and meditation classes.  We also offer clothing swaps and a clothing boutique to reflect the changes on the outside that are being made on the inside. This is a time of great transformation for many of our clients and we are here to help make the vision a reality.

Top Tips for Increasing Water Intake

1) Have a glass of water or juice on arising in the morning, since you’ve had no fluids for many hours.

2) Drink constantly throughout the day rather than several ‘big gulps’ at once—this meets your body’s needs better and may prevent the problem of frequent urination.

3) If you have problems with constipation, it could be because you don’t drink enough water—our bodies need water to balance the fiber intake that comes from fruits, vegetables, and grains.

4) Fluids are more easily absorbed from the body when they are somewhat cooler, about 40-60 degrees. Keep a 1 or 2 quart bottle of water in your refrigerator and make sure you need drink and refill it daily.

5) When you pass a drinking fountain, stop for a refreshing drink.

6) Use the color of your urine as a guide for how well your are hydrating. If you urinate regularly and your urine is light yellow, you’re drinking enough. If it’s dark yellow, increase your fluid intake.

7) Carry a water bottle with you and drink regularly between meals.

8) Allergy sufferers and persons taking any medication should try to attain the fluid goals outlined above. Our kidneys and liver need extra water to process medicines.

Exercise and the Ideal Protein Diet

Why is Exercise not recommended during the Diet?

– If your blood sugar gets too low, the proteins we supply and the muscle you have can undergo gluconeogenesis and glucose can be produced.  If you increase the glucose demand (i.e. exercise vigorously during the first phase) you will increase gluconeogensis markedly.  This CAN result in muscle loss, something we want to avoid!  If you MUST exercise, do it lightly (i.e. walk, bike, yoga, pilates).  Here’s the beauty of the program: You are literally “peeing out calories” without having to exercise.  You will lose the same amount of weight, but will not risk losing muscle. This is not about calories in – calories out, its about hormones and metabolism.  They were fighting a hormone (insulin) before and you cant exercise your way out of that, the hormone always wins.  After the first 3 weeks, you may exercise lightly, but please keep in mind:

  – Do not get overly tired

  – Supplements are a MUST (serious cardiac problems can result)

  – Keep well hydrated, you must increase your water if you plan to exercise
