Green Bean Casserole

Green bean casserole is the perfect vegetable dish. While participating in the Ideal Protein program, you can still eat tasty foods! Treat yourself and indulge in this savory meal.

Green Bean Casserole Ingredients:

3 packets of Ideal Protein mushroom soup

12 Oz. veggie broth (The water for the soup)

1 1/2 teaspoon Bragg Liquid Aminos

2 containers of sliced mushrooms

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon real salt (mix of onion & garlic)

3-5 cloves of garlic (minced)

1-2 teaspoons olive oil

8 cups cooked cut green beans

2 packets of ground sea salt vinegar ridges

1/2 red onion

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon fresh or spice dill

Ideal Protein garlic and onion soy nuts

TIP: 2 bags (16 to 20 ounces) frozen green beans, 4 packages (9 ounces each) frozen green beans or about 3 pounds fresh green beans

Slice onion into rings and spread minced garlic, some salt, dill with olive oil over onions. Bake in over for 15 minutes at 300 (just to soften them). If using fresh green beans slightly steam for 3-5 minutes to soften.

Soup Mix- Stir the soup, veggie broth and/or water, Braggs, black pepper, beans, other spices, some mushroom slices- mix in blender

In 3-quart casserole dish mix the green beans, mushrooms, 1 package of crushed IP garlic & onion nuts and soup mix. Then top it off with the rings slightly cooked red onions and 1 package of crushed IP garlic & onion nuts and soup mix. Then top off with the rings of slightly cooked red onions and 1 package of crushed IP Garlic & onion nuts.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until the bean mixture is hot and bubbling. Ready to serve.

Holiday snacks are easy to indulge in. If this is your first holiday while on the Ideal Protein program, your holiday snacks may be different but still delicious to enjoy! Deviled eggs and potato rolls are perfect for the holiday season. While everyone else is enjoying yummy holiday snacks, so will you.

Deviled Eggs

Start by taking hard boiled eggs and cutting them in half.

Then mix the yolks with Walden Farms Mayo, Redmond’s Onion Salt and mustard (to taste). After that, mix and spoon back into egg halves.

Arrange them on your plate or tray and garnish with a sprinkle of paprika. You can also add hot sauce if you’d like for an extra kick!

Potato Rolls

You’ll need…

1 pack of Ideal Protein puree

1 egg white

4 tbsp of water

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 pack of Stevia

 

Start by mixing all of the items together, then spoon into a mini-muffin tin

Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes (make sure you watch them because they brown quickly)

Take them out and dip in mustard if you like

Holiday Chicken Recipe!

 

The holidays are right around the corner and because of this, we are sharing a yummy holiday chicken recipe with you! Don’t let the temptation of the holidays prevent you from making progress on your diet. We are here with some great Ideal Protein recipe ideas that will keep your bellies full in addition to helping you stick to your weight loss goals!

Chicken is a tasty and reliable dish, so why not put a fun spin on it for the holidays? Today we are sharing with you Ram Jam Chicken, which is a fun and flavorful dish that consists of several unique ingredients that, as a result, create the perfect taste!

To create this dish, you’ll need:

2 tbs tamari sauce

1 tbs lemon juice

1 tbs olive oil

1/4 tsp dried Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger root

1/2 clove garlic, crushed

1/8 tsp onion powder

1/2 pinch ground black pepper

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into strips

Once you have all of your ingredients, grab a reseal-able plastic bag and combine the tamari sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, dried Italian seasoning, grated fresh ginger, clove garlic, onion powder, and ground ginger until it seems like they are well blended. Place the chicken strips into the bag and seal it, since you will want the strips to marinate in the ingredients for a while. You can leave the chicken in the refrigerator for at minimum 3 hours, or overnight. Whichever you prefer will probably be best! The chicken can be sautéed or grilled. Dinner Rolls

Now that you’ve made the perfect holiday chicken, you need a side dish. Herb and Garlic dinner rolls are an easy to prepare and tasty recipe that go perfectly with the chicken! Rather than using a regular dinner roll recipe, we decided to throw in a little yummy Ideal Protein twist!

To make these dinner rolls, you’ll need:

1 Ideal Protein Puree Packet

2 egg whites

1/4 tsp fresh chopped chives

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp fresh rosemary

1/8 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp garlic minced

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Whip the egg whites and add in all of the other ingredients. Spray a muffin pan olive oil spray and pour the mixture halfway in 5 sections. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes, and enjoy!

Crispy Cauliflower

We have another yummy dish for you! Cauliflower may be a popular summer food, but who says you can’t enjoy it in the colder months too? This crispy cauliflower is an Ideal Protein friendly option that gives you yet another choice for a side dish, and could also make the perfect snack! The crunchy texture will please your taste buds while keeping you moving towards your weight loss goal!

 

To make this Crispy Cauliflower, you’ll need the follow ingredients:
  • 2 cup of cauliflower (cut them into florets)
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 Package of Ideal Protein Garlic and Fine Herb Crisps or 1 Package of Ideal Protein White Cheddar Ridges (crushed)
  • 1 pinch of salt and black pepper or chili powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon of of cumin powder
Once you have all of your ingredients ready to go:
  • Add the salt, black pepper or chili powder, cumin powder, and egg white in a bowl and mix it well
  • Put the crushed crisps or white cheddar ridges on a large plate. This makes it much easier to coat the cauliflower!
  • Coat the cauliflower with the eggs whites, then coat it with the crushed crisps of the white cheddar ridges and place them on a tray. Bake them in the oven for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  • Serve and enjoy!
