High Protein Savory Tandoori Chicken With Mint And Cilantro

 

This guilt-free dinner is to die for! Our tandoori chicken recipe will have your mouth watering simply after reading it. With a unique blend of herbs and spices, you will be glad you waited for this chicken to marinate. Both delicious and Phase-1 friendly, our tandoori chicken recipe has become one of our new favorites!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pound Chicken (Bone or Boneless)
  • 2 tbsp. of garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp. of ginger paste
  • 2 tsp. of coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp. of cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp.  red chili powder (can use more to taste)
  • 2 tbsp. cilantro
  • 2 tbsp. dried or fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. oil
  • 1 tsp. salt (more if preferred)
  • 1/2 tsp. of crushed red pepper (optional)
  • 1 1/2 lbs. of flank steak or boneless beef sirloin steak
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil, divided
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice

Directions:

  1. Clean the chicken and cut into bite-sized pieces or long strips.
  2. Mix all the ingredients and massage the herb rub on the chicken evenly.
  3. Place in a container and cover this with a cling wrap and let it marinate for 4 to 6 hours or overnight.
  4. When ready to cook, set the oven to broil.
  5. Line a baking tray with non-stick aluminum foil and brush it with oil.
  6. Directly place the chicken pieces on the dish and broil it for 20-25 min in the preheated oven.
  7. Turn once after 5 min.
  8. Keep checking and roast till done.
  9. Serve with a salad and lemon slices.

This Father’s Day, treat Dad to a mouthwatering dinner he won’t forget! Our Caribbean grilled steak recipe brings together all the best spices and perfectly cooked steak to make this meal dad’s new favorite Ideal Protein Phase 1-friendly meal!

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp. of minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. of ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. of dried minced onions
  • 1 tsp. of oregano leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. of crushed red pepper (optional)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 lbs. of flank steak or boneless beef sirloin steak
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil, divided
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice

Directions:

  1. Mix salt and all of the spices except the red pepper in small bowl until well blended
  2. Stir in red pepper to taste, if desired
  3. Brush steak with 1 tablespoon of oil
  4. Rub with 2 tablespoons spice mixture
  5. Refrigerate 30 minutes or longer for extra flavor
  6. Stir lime juice and remaining 2 tablespoons of oil into remaining spice mixture
  7. Grill steak over medium-high heat 6 to 7 minutes per side or until desired doneness, brushing with remaining juice mixture
  8. Slice and serve steak

In only six steps, you can enjoy an extremely quick and easy Phase 1-friendly meal that is absolutely mouth-watering and sure to excite your taste buds. Start your barbecues off right and add some fiery flavor to your salad menu!

 

Ingredients:

  • 7 oz. of shrimp, with the tails off and deveined
  • 3/4 cup of mushrooms, sliced
  • 3/4 cup of zucchini
  • 1/2 cup of red pepper
  • Lettuce, sliced
  • 1 tsp. of olive oil
  • Hot sauce, to taste

Directions:

  1. Add olive oil to a frying pan on medium to high heat
  2. Add shrimp, red pepper, zucchini, and mushrooms to the pan
  3. Cook shrimp, red pepper, zucchini, and mushrooms until the shrimp are done and vegetables are at desired consistency
  4. Remove from heat and add hot sauce to taste
  5. Stir sauce around the frying pan coating the shrimp and vegetables
  6. Pour onto shredded lettuce and enjoy!
