Tex Mex Jicama

Ideal Protein Phase 1 Friendly

Ingredients:

  • 1 Ideal Protein Cheddar Cheese Sauce packet
  • 1 Cup Jicama peeled and diced
  • 1 Cup of Peppers diced (red, yellow, or orange)
  • 1 Cup Tomatoes diced
  • Chives- 2 long stems of chopped
  • Green onions- 2 long stems chopped
  • Seasoning blend:
  • 1 tsp. Garlic chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. Chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Cumin
  • 1 tsp. Oregano
  • 1 tsp. Paprika
  • 1 tsp. Coriander
  • ½ tsp. Ideal Protein Salt
  • ½ tsp. Black pepper

Directions:

  • Make 1 packet of Ideal Protein Cheddar Cheese Sauce Mix according to directions and heat.
  • Stir all vegetables and herbs together.
  • Blend remaining seasonings together.
  • Pour seasoning blend over vegetables and herbs and gently toss to coat vegetables with the seasoning blend.
  • Pour heated cheese sauce over seasoned jicama mixture.

Ginger Dressing

Ideal Protein Phase 1 Friendly

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp. Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp. Ginger root – grated
  • 1/3 Cup Olive oil
  • 1 tsp. Soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. Stevia or Splenda (to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp. Ideal Salt\1/4 tsp. Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. Hot pepper sauce (no sugar added)

Directions:

  • Mix vinegar with ginger and let stand for 2 minutes.
  • Strain liquid into a bowl by pressing to extract all the liquid from the ginger root.
  • Mix in remaining ingredients.
  • Serve over your favorite green leaf salads or slaws.
  • Also great over steamed vegetables.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ideal Protein Phase 1 Friendly

Ingredients: 

  • 1 Ideal Protein Chocolate Caramel Mug Cake Mix
  • 1 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1 tsp. Sugar-free sweetener
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 3 Tbsp. Liquid egg whites
  • 2 tsp. Olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:

  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • Thin batter with 1 oz of water if it is too thick to stir.
  • Drop by spoonful one inch apart onto greased cookie sheet or stone. Should be able to make 4-6 cookies
  • Bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Allow cookies to sit on cookie sheet/stone for about 5 minutes to solidify.

Cauliflower Potato Salad

Ideal Protein Phase 1 Friendly

Ingredients:

  • 1 Head of cauliflower chopped into small florets.
  • 2 Stalks of celery diced
  • 1/4 Yellow onion, finely sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. Parsley, chopped
  • 2 Eggs hard -boiled, shelled, and diced
  • 2 tsp. Walden Farms Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. Ideal Salt

Directions:

  • Steam cauliflower until tender.
  • Drain and rinse with cold water to cool quickly.
  • Place in a large bowl.
  • Add celery, onion, parsley, and egg.
  • Stir in mayonnaise, mustard, and salt.
  • Serve immediately or store in fridge.

Basil Lemonade

Ideal Protein Phase 1 Friendly

Ingredients:

  • 1 Ideal Protein Lemon Water Enhancer packet
  • 3/4 Cup Basil, packed fresh leaves
  • 2 Cups Sparkling or regular water
  • Fresh lemon slices

Directions:

  • Stir Lemon Water Enhancer packet into water.
  • Cut basil leaves in half to release flavor.
  • Float basil leaves in the solution so it diffuses.
  • Chill and serve with a fresh lemon slice garnish.
  • The longer the solution sits and chills, the more flavorful it will be.

Salad Verde Dressing

Ideal Protein Phase 1 Friendly

Ingredients:

  • 1 Large minced shallot
  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp warm water
  • ½ tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp whole-grain mustard
  • A few drops of stevia (optional)
  • 2 Sprigs of thyme
  • 1 Clove minced garlic
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 4 tsp olive oil

Directions:

  • Place minced shallot in a fine-mesh strainer
  • Rinse with cold water
  • Drain and place in jar
  • Add vinegar and warm water
  • Allow to sit for 2 minutes
  • Add remaining ingredients and shake.

Great dressing for any green salad. Try a mixture of butter lettuce, romaine, Belgian endive and watercress.

Mock-Amole

Ideal Protein Phase 1 Friendly

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz Asparagus
  • (34-36 skinny spears, ends trimmed)
  • 1/2 Cup Broccoli florets steamed
  • 3 Tbsp Walden Farms mayo
  • Juice of 1/2 a Lime
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Red onion diced
  • 2 tsp Cilantro dry

Directions:

  • Steam the asparagus just until soft.
  • Combine all ingredients (except onion).
  • Blend in a food processor until very smooth.
  • Stir in onion (you can omit if desired).
  • Refrigerate until cold. (Or you can steam the asparagus and broccoli in advance and chill them, so your dip will be cold after blending).Serve with Ideal Protein Chili, Crisps or Dorados!

Refreshing Popsicles

Ideal Protein Phase 1 Friendly

Ingredients:

  • Any flavor of Ideal Protein Drink Mix:
  • Peach Mango
  • Orange
  • Chocolate
  • Vanilla
  • Cappuccino
  • Blueberry/Cranberry
  • Any flavor of Ideal Protein Pudding Mix or Ready-to- serve
  • Shakes:
  • Vanilla Shake
  • Strawberry Banana Shake
  • Chocolate Shake
  • Cappuccino Shake
  • Vanilla Pudding
  • Dark Chocolate Pudding

Directions:

  • Add 6 ounces of water to any one packet of Ideal Protein Drink Mix.
  • Add 1 Ideal Protein Ready-to-serve Shake or the contents of one Ideal Protein Pudding Mix to the solution above. Stir until blended.
  • Pour into Popsicle molds (should make about 6). Insert Popsicle stick into the solution and freeze until solid.
  • When ready to serve, run warm water over the outside of the Popsicle mold to loosen the Popsicle from the mold.
  • Enjoy this “Chillin” Treat!

Sweet & Spicy Summer Salad

Ideal Protein Phase 1 Friendly

Ingredients: 

  • 1 Ideal Protein Sweet & Spicy Trail Mix packet
  • 1 Cup Romaine lettuce
  • 1 Cup Arugula
  • 1/2 Cup Cucumber diced
  • 1/2 Cup Red Bell Pepper diced
  • 1/2 Cup Celery diced
  • 1/2 Cup Select vegetables of your choice
  • Ideal Protein Italian Herb Dressing

Directions:

  • Combine the lettuces and vegetables.
  • Pour the Ideal Protein Sweet & Spicy Trail Mix on top.
  • Drizzle Ideal Protein Italian Herb Dressing over top.
  • Toss gently.
  • Serve with Ideal Protein Dill Zippers or Garlic and Fine Herbs Crisps.
