What to do if you met your weight loss goal but have gained a few back

The wonderful thing about the Ideal Protein diet is that you can use it at any time in your life.  It is natural and normal for the body to gain weight over the year.  Most people gain about 5lbs a year (you never hear anyone say that they lose 5 lbs a year).

So you’ve finished the protocol and met your goal.  Perhaps you go on a big vacation (one of those all inclusive) and come back with some extra weight on.  Don’t procrastinate, get back on the protocol for a week or two.  If you have less than 10lbs to lose, you can do a week or two of Phase 1, a short Phase 2, and short Phase 3 and you will have lost the weight in no time.

Once a year we recommend a reset to reset the pancreas and burn off the unwanted extra pounds.  I recommend you keep some IP food on hand for emergencies and to help you keep your weight under control.

I recently went to the Bahamas and enjoyed myself a little bit too much.  So, a week of Phase 1, couple days on Phase 2 and 3 and I’m back to where I want to be!
